We have a great college prep program

More than 80% of our grads go to college. And they do well in college because our excellent classes prepare them well.

And we have 2 diplomas! Our College Prep Diploma rewards students who take and pass the hardest classes. This special diploma shows colleges that you're prepared.

The Luther North College Prep Diploma

Requirements include:

3 to 4 years of English, math, science, religion and social studies

At least 2 years of German or Spanish

At least 5 semesters of electives where you can take advanced courses and explore interests in business, computer science and other areas

1 or 2 semesters of fine arts, physical education and health education

The Luther North College Prep Diploma exceeds the Illinois requirements for high school graduation. Go for the gusto!

The Luther North High School Diploma includes:

college prep and vocational classes

a practical education in English, math, science, social studies and religion

allows you to explore your interests in a variety of subjects like business, computer programming, photography, drafting, metals, woods, plastics, electronics and construction

Advanced Placement & College Credit

Advanced Placement is a way for students to earn college credit while still in high school.

Luther North offers Advanced Placement in English, American government and politics, psychology and chemistry.
